Mary, 1 have several things you may be interested in. I will send them to you. They are on my old computer. I'll have to down load to a disk and attach them to a message. If you don’t want them you can throw them away. Looney McDaniet was named after the Looneys. The McDaniels and Looneys were together in Warren Co Tn, they came to Alabama together. The one that owned the old Looney home place went to Blount Co Al. Looney and Moses McDaniel were rough housers, there are several things in the Lawrence Co Al Orphan Court Records about both of them being a fight., more than once!! These two, James and our William, may have been brothers and sons of Walter McDaniel. He and his wife, Elizabeth are buried in Lawrence Co Al. This is all from memory and I haven’t worked on the McDaniels in a while. Our William that married Deborah Dutton, left this part of the country before 1830, and was not in the 1830 or 1840 Lawrence CO Al Census,but,showed back up in 1850. In those same court records, Arron Dutton was appointed guardian of William and Deborah’s children. I was confused at that time and am still bumfuzzeled about it I! I will send this and you can get back with me about it. I wrote these things from evidence that Linda and I gathered in Lawrence Co Al and Warren Co Tn. Mary- These McDaniels covered their tracks real well. We haven’t decided yet what happened to William and Deborah Dutton McDaniel. We do know that they are the parents of Jane McDaniel, Linda’s gg great grandmother. She was one of the children placed under Aaron Dutton’s guardianship. I have a lot of the court records from Lawrence Co on those children. We feel like all these McDaniels in Warren CO Tn and Lawrence CO Al are the same. But, we have not located records to place them in the same family. There is some papers that show who went to Texas. I don’t remember if I have them or not. tf not, I will have to go to Moulton and copy them at the Archives. It’s noon right now, I will try to locate my McDaniel file before night.
