1850 YELL Co., AR --lists JHG and wife Louisa J living in Spring Creek

On the adjacent farm is listed the Looney McDaniel family, indicating to me
kinship to Louisa.
1840 POPE Co., AR-- Yell Co., AR was taken from Pope County in Dec of 1840 so the census for that year was in Pope Co. I found only two McDaniel families listed there, Looney McDaniel and a Mary McDaniel. Until proven I take what I can find and then proceed to try and prove it. Since Louisa didn't marry JHG until 14 Dec 1846, she would most likely be living in a parental household on the 1840 census, agree? For the time being let's assume that Mary McDaniel could be her widowed mother and in 1840 Louisa would be 14 years of age. That census year lists Mary 50/60 and two females 10/15 & 15/20. Louisa may be the 10/15 female in Mary's household. Keep in mind here that we don't have proof of this scenario but a strong possibility exists that Mary is her mother and Looney is an older brother.
