Henderson Crayton MCDANIEL,b.ca 1819 in AL.; d. February 1872, Giddings, Tx.He married Ann Elizabeth STOVALL the 29 Jan 1846 in Marshall Co., MS, daughter of Patrick Henry STOVALL and Ane Dorcas STOVALL. Henderson migrated with his family and mother-in-law to Burleson Co., TX by 1854, and lived on Brushy Creek near Lexington. Moved to Giddings a few years after the Civil War and opened a general store there. He is buried at Farley Chapel.

  6. Margaret Louise "Lou" MCDANIEL, b.Mar 15, 1861, Lexington, Lee, d. Dec.30,1935. md Sept.1,1873, Washington Co., TX. to Thomas Jefferson CRAYTON born June 1851 in Shiloh, MS, died April 30,1929. The Minutes of the Plainview Baptist Church, later re-named Fair Baptist Church of Stephens Co., OK. was organized with 12 charter members from the Union Sunday School meeting at the Lozier School House in 1905. The charter members were: Mr. and Mrs. Turner Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Crayton and their daughters - Lena and Marcella, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Lane, Mr.and Mrs. W. A. Clarkson, and Mrs. and Mrs. J. W. Paramore. In 1959 only two of the charter members were still living: Mrs. W. A. Clarkson of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Lena Crayton Lovell of Marietta, Texas.
