- JAMES MCDANIEL (LOONEY/LUNAR) was born Abt. 1810 in TN, and died January 11, 1885 in Ellis Co., TX. He married ISABELLA BERRY WEIR November 27, 1838 in Lawrence Co., ALA, ( born in Alabama, March 8, 1818) , a daughter of Dr. Hugh Weir. Her father moved to Texas about 1860, settling on Mill Creek, Ellis County, where he died.

The Morristown Gazette learns that Looney McDaniel, an aged and prominent citizen of Mossy Creek, fell from his porch last Sunday and broke his neck in the fall. We have no particulars.
