James and Isabella Berry (WEIR) MCDANIEL

James MCDANIEL came to Texas from Alabama in 1835, when a young man, and participated in the Texas Revolution, and was within one day’s march of being at the massacre of the Alamo, at San Antonio. He married Miss Isabella B. WEIR, who was born in Alabama, March 8, 1818, a daughter of Dr. Hugh WEIR, a native of the same State. The latter came to Texas about 1860, settling on Mill creek, Ellis county, where he lived and practiced his profession until his death.
